Louis-Philippe Robert, Duke of Orléans (August 24, 1869 - March 28, 1926) was the son of Philippe, Count of Paris, Orléanist claimant to the throne of France. He was also the great-grandson of Louis Philippe I, King of the French.
The Duke of Orléans was born in Twickenham, a suburb of London, where his family had been exiled since King Louis Philippe's abdication in 1848. Upon the death of his father in 1894, he became the Orléanist claimant, and was known to monarchists as Philippe VIII. Two years later, he married Austrian archduchess Marie Dorothea (1867-1932).
The Duke of Orléans died in Palermo in 1926.
