Philipp Mohr

Philipp Mohr (born January 7, 1972 in Pforzheim, Germany) is an architect and industrial designer who has lived in New York since 1995. He is the son of Herbert Mohr-Mayer and a great-grand son of the jeweller Victor Mayer and the nephew of Manfred Mohr.

Mohr studied architecture at the Bauhaus, Columbia University and the Polytechnic University in Milan. In collaboration with other designers he created several acclaimed industrial design and art objects. In 2000 Mohr designed the Metaring, a computer-generated and machine-milled piece of jewelry. In 2003 he collaborated with Tobi Wong on a series of diamond clad industrial designs.
