Philip of Sweden

King Philip of Sweden, in Swedish known as Filip Halstensson (king 1105–1118) ruled together with his brother Ingold II from 1105 or 1110 and onwards, at least in Götaland, as successors of their uncle Inge I of Sweden. According to the Westrogothic law he was a good king. Little else is known about him. At that time, the kings had grave difficulties in keeping the Swedish heartland in Svealand under their control - there are indications that unestablished rulers (such as Philip) ruled really only in Västergötland.
According to the Hervarar saga, he ruled only for a short time, and was married to Ingigerd, the daughter of Harald Hardrada.
