Philip V. Tobias

Philip V. Tobias is Professor Emeritus at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. He is best known for his pioneering work at South Africa's famous hominid fossil sites, and in the course of his career has developed the reputation of being one of the world's leading authorities on the evolution of humankind.[1]

He was one of the anthropologists instrumental in unmasking the Piltdown fraud.[2]
