From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Phil May (born Phillip Arthur Dennis Kattner, 9 November 1944, in Dartford, Kent), is a founding member of, and vocalist for, The Pretty Things.

Phil MAY is one of the highly original lyricists in all of Rock music. He uses abstract lyrics & incorporates fact & fiction in most of his songs. Mr. May wrote the World's first Rock music Opera S.F. Sorrow which is a unique Masterpiece. The Album with great Pathos, allowing listeners to empathise & imagine is "RAGE BEFORE BEAUTY". It features truth about disloyalty destroying cherishing in his marriage. His grief & abject regret written into frenzied emotive music is outstanding. The new Album set for a Summer 07 Release is called BALBOA ISLAND. Very deep & Bluesy. Phil has been the driving force & an example of perseverance within THE PRETTY THINGS since 1963. He has endured. A proven Showman on Stage & Professional within the music World.
