Lieutenant Phigus Simenon is a fictional character in the non-canon Star Trek series Stargazer.

Phigus Simenon is the chief engineer of the USS Stargazer. He is a Gnalish, a lizard-like alien who only cares about his work and has no time for camaraderie with his subordinates. He is a skilled engineer and maintains a strict discipline.

On the second mission of the Stargazer, Simenon became anxious and restless, and demanded Captain Jean-Luc Picard to be sent to his homeworld Gnala. When Picard asked for a reason, he told him that it was mating season back at Gnala, and this would be his only chance to sire offspring. Picard accepted his request, and the Stargazer headed to Gnala.

Gnalish mating is a ritual which consists of three teams of males competing against each other for the honour of fertilising a female's eggs. Each team consists of a different sub-race of Gnalish. Simenon's sub-race is intelligent, one of the others is strong, and the other is fast. Because Simenon was the only one of his sub-race present at the ritual, Picard and his officers agreed to stand in for his team. They won the race and Simenon fertilised the eggs.

Later, back on the Stargazer, an agent from the "Mirror Universe", called Gerda Idun Asmund, sought to kidnap Simenon to help the crew of her version of the Stargazer (whose chief engineer had been killed), but the crew of the Stargazer prevented her schemes.
