[edit] your revert in Cristiano Ronaldo
I noticed you reverted my edit in the C. Ronaldo article and I have to say, this is the first time any of my edits has been called vandalism. I inserted "actor" after "... his parents chose to name him in honour of the late US president Ronald Reagan, who was his father's favourite" because that's what was there before and it appeared to be deleted accidentally, and the sentence doesn't make sense as it is.
I'm not sure why you thought my edit was vandalism, because there's nothing in my contrib history to indicate it. I just wish you'd assumed good faith.
In any case, I'm editing "actor" back in with a source and I'd be happy to discuss it in Talk if you disagree. Thanks. Ytny 03:26, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Ugh, I'm sorry, I thought you were trying to label Ronaldo an "actor" like others have done, because I didn't know Reagan had been an actor. I only knew his name from politics. You're right about the phrase not making sense without a noun at the end.
After I had made the edit, I checked your User page, and I found it weird that nothing in it suggested a vandal, but I let it go... I guess I should not edit Wikipedia while sleepy.
I sincerely apologise for the mistake, and will try to be more careful in the future. :( --Phelan 03:50, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- No harm done, and I came off a little whinier than I intended. And I forget that a lot of people don't know Ronald Reagan was an actor. Thanks. Ytny 05:30, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Football Manager LLaMa
The term "LLaMa" is indeed used for players of Championship/Football Manager in a certain manner and has been used for at least seven years in an online community of over 75000 members, so is hardly criteria for "something made up in school one day". Frank, the mascot and random lower league team picker for Football Manager 2006 receives in excess of 3000 hits a day.
I have moved the content to a new article, Llama (computer culture) and incorporated the Football Manager content.
