Finally, there was two Pheidons.

1. The first person was the seventh king of Argos. He flourished during the 8th century B.C. He assisted the Pisates to expel the Eleians, superintendents of the Olympian games (748 BC).
2. The second person was a tyrant of Argos. He flourished during the fourth quarter of the 7th century B.C. His grandson, Leocedes (Lacedas), was in the list of the suitors of Agariste, daughter of Cleisthenes of Sicyon (574 BC).
3. The battle at Hysiae, (668 BC), in middle of 7th century B.C., in Argolis, between Argives and Spartans is extraneous to both Pheidons.
