[edit] Stick Insect
... should have its own article and not redirect here. I'm surprised one doesn't exist. This article is a stub too. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.105.228.241 (talk • contribs) 17:52, 8 June 2006 (UTC).
- I disagree both walking stick and stick insect redirect here. Both are just common names for a type of Phasmatodea.--Lzygenius 10:47, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
- Both are general names for a large portion of the Phasmatodea, walking-stick is almost exclusively used in America, whereas stick insect had widespread useage in Europe.Edwbaker 17:48, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Macleay's Spectre
Seth Godin complains that there is no WP article for Extatosoma tiaratum (Macleay's Spectre) [1] [2]. Presumably it (or a link to it) belongs on this page?? --RichardVeryard 22:22, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
- Apparently this insect is present in the German WP. [3] --RichardVeryard 00:37, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

- Extatosoma tiaratum article does now exist. Edwbaker 00:17, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Phylogeny charts seem confused and/or confusing
Are competing classification systems being presented -- if so clarify this with a little intro text for each.
Also is there more than one family being discussed in the article vs. the phylogenies? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.6.236.160 (talk) 11:09, 12 January 2007 (UTC).
- Just one classification is presented. It is however incorrect, and I believe is too detailed for the page. I plan to reduce the subordinate taxa to that listed in the Taxobox once there are articles for them. Any comments? Edwbaker 00:17, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Photos Removed
Photos of Heteropteryx dilatata moved to that article. Unidentified species have been removed. Edwbaker 16:44, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
