Phalguni
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In Hindu astrology (see Jyotish), Phalguni is the name of two lunar mansions: Purva Phalguni and Uttar Phalguni. The name is from Sanskrit phalgu "reddish". In the Shatapatha Brahmanas, Phalguni is the name of a double star constellation (hence appearing in the dual), also called Arjuni "the two Silver ones", from Sanskrit arjuna "bright, silver-coloured", probably identical to the "two Arjunis" mentioned in Rigveda 10.85.13.
