Phalanx Covenant is a series of 2 episodes of X-Men: The Animated Series. It originally aired on September 7, 1996.

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
The X-Men are attacked by the Phalanx, mutant-hating humans who have used the alien Warlock's techno-organic virus to turn into techno-organic beings themselves. With these powers the Phalanx are able to change their shape and assimilate organic matters. Before long, the X-Men are all captured, except for Beast. With the X-Factor's help the X-men are rescued and the Phalanx defeated.

- No explanation is given as to how the Phalanx could infiltrate the X-Mansion as Sabertooth; it's hinted in the episode that the Phalanx can only assume the form of an item or being it absorbs, and at the time of the Phalanx-Sabertooth's discovery and incarceration by the X-Men, the Phalanx had not yet been able to assimilate mutants.
