The Peugeot 308 is a probable name of a replacement for the Peugeot 307, a small family car produced by the French automaker PSA. There has been no official information from the manufacturer regarding that model, but the automotive media has been speculating that it might be officially unveiled in Summer 2007, and possibly go on sale in October 2007.

There have been spyshots and artists' renderings of the possible look of the new vehicle published by electronic and print media, including French magazines such as L'Auto-Journal and Auto Plus. The development code for the car is allegedly "Project T7", and the vehicle will probably be sharing its platform with stablemate Citroën C4. A coupé convertible variant, codenamed "project T76", a station wagon and a crossover SUV variant, codenamed "project T8" are also expected.
