[edit] Comment
Apparently the Wikipedians with articles category is gone? Well, I hope there's a list somewhere. For what it's worth, Pete is User:Pashdown. Andre (talk) 02:49, July 22, 2005 (UTC)
- OK, I found the list (Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles) Andre (talk) 02:50, July 22, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Editing my own page
I don't feel comfortable editing my own page, but there are changes and additions that should be made:
- I have Wiki'ed my own campaign policy and strategy [here]
- My third child was born on the 11th of October
- I want to replace the picture
- Minor edits
Please let me know what your thoughts on me doing this.
- Sounds good. I'll be glad to work closely with you in making the appropriate changes to the page. Your willingness to work through an intermediary will help avoid a lot of conflict. Andre (talk) 18:02, 13 October 2005 (UTC)
- I went ahead & did the first two, but I'm not sure about the other two. You could upload the picture & link to it from here if you'd like someone else to place it in the article. JeffBurdges 15:39, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
- There are some other photos here: http://vote.peteashdown.org/wiki/index.php/Pete_photos.
[edit] hmmm...
Ashdown seems to be somewhat conservative. I suppose that's natural for someone opposing a moderate republican. --hello, i'm a member | talk to me! 04:50, 26 December 2005 (UTC)
I suspect Ashdown has selected a somewhat conservative platform in order to best represent his electorate. Utah's one of the most conservative states in the nation, so doing otherwise would just be silly. ;-)
[edit] Copyright violation?
Most of this article is a verbatim copy from his wiki. For a political candidate who has copyright issues as one of his major platforms, I was surprised that there was no copyright or license information on the wiki website. Without any GFDL or similar license, the presumption is that everything on the website is copyrighted and unusable on the Wikipedia. Everything that was copied from that website will need to be either deleted or rewritten. BlankVerse 23:09, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
- Look at the dates. What is on my wiki biography was copied from Wikipedia. Just so everything is crystal clear, I've put up a copyleft notice--Pete Ashdown 18:25, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- Also, take a look at the article history on the Ashdown wiki, which clearly says "paste from wikipedia." Andre (talk) 15:09, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
