The importance / notoriety of the krewe was not included in the initial description, which has been added. Perhaps this will help with the decision whether to include/delete: The Pet de Kat Krewe gained international notoriety in 2002 when they were invited to appear on the Folk Heritage Stage as an official part of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. The PdKK gained their musical status by inspiring songs by The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Iko Iko, Chubby Carrier, The Baboons and Terrance Simien.
