PetSense is a chain retail outlet store found in outlet malls across the United States. The store specializes in pet supplies, but does not sell live animals. Corporate headquarters are located in Scottsdale, Arizona. PetSense is the only pet supply store in the United States exclusively found in retail outlet malls.

[edit] History

The chain was founded by Jim Dougherty, founder of PetSmart in 2005. To date Petsense has opened 11 stores. The first PetSense store opened in October of 2005 in Castle Rock, Colorado. The most recent store opened in Round Rock, Texas, in August of 2006. PetSense now operates stores in Alabama, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Oregon, South Carolina, and Texas.

In October of 2006, PetSense expanded to the internet with the launch of it's retail site.

[edit] Product Lines

PetSense carries many of the name brand products you would find in any other pet store, plus many unique products that are almost entirely exclusive to PetSense. In most markets, PetSense carries dog and cat; toys, treats, training products, beds, litter, and food.
