Petrus Ky, born Dec 6, 1837, Vinh Long province, Vietnam, died Sept 1, 1898 ,also called Truong Vinh Ky, or Jean-baptiste Pétrus, is a Vietnamese scholar whose literary works served as a bridge between his civilization and that of the West. He helped popularize the romanized script of the Vietnamese language, Quoc-ngu.
