Petros, Tennessee, (pronounced pee-tross) is a town located in Morgan County, Tennessee, in the United States, located on State Route 116.
Petros is historically a coal mining town and is also known as the home of Brushy Mountain State Prison. Some of the town and coal mine scenes for the movie October Sky were filmed there.
