Petrohori

Petrohori, is a small village in Pylos, Greece. It is a coastal area which is surrounded by the sea. It is only 20 kilometres (12 miles) away from Pylos and 360 kilometres (225 miles) away from Athens.
The place is famous as Pylos is due to the Voidokilia beach. Also, near the village there is Nestor's cave and a few kilometres away Divari lakesea can be found. The village is only 200 metres (650 feet) away from Voidokilia beach. The beach is famous for its warm water and for the two big mountain rocks which surround it at the left and right. At the first rock there is the oldest church of the village and at the other one there is Nestor's cave and a few metres above is the castle of Navarino.
Petrohori is a very famous place for tourists as there they can enjoy the fascinating sunrise and have a vacation at low prices. Also, in the village can be found tourist shops, markets and of course two hotels and one camping park. Although, Petrohori seems to be a small and unknown village, it combines the sea with the great Mediterranean climate.
It is located on the Messinian Peninsular.

Petrohori, is a small village near Pylos, Greece. It is a short walk from the sandy coast and only 15 kilometres (12 miles) away from Pylos and 360 kilometres (225 miles) away from Athens.
The reason to visit the village of Petrohori is because of its close proximity to Voidokilia Beach. King Nestor's cave can easily be reached from Voidokilia Beach and the wonderful wetlands of Divari are also just a short walk from the village. Voidokilia Beach is famous for its warm water and forms a semi-circle of fine sand and it is protected by two rocky headlands. The norththern headland has the tomb of Thrasymedes and the southern headland is topped by the impressive Paleo Kastro and Nestor's Cave. The church of Profit Ilias is easily reached on a hill top nearer the village.
Petrohori is becoming popular with independent tourists as there are now a couple of apartments to rent and even a small hotel. Visitors can enjoy the wonderful sunsets and have a vacation at low prices. The village has a tiny square with just one coffee shop and one taverna. On the road out of the village there are a couple of mini-markets. Although, Petrohori is a small and relatively unknown village, it combines the sea with the great Mediterranean climate.
