Petlovac is a village and municipality in the western part of Baranja, which comprise the northern part of Osijek-Baranja County in Croatia.

Its name derived from the Slavic word "petao" ("rooster" in English).

Municipality of Petlovac has 2,743 inhabitants (2001 census), including: [1]

- 14.40% Hungarians
- 5.25% Serbs

- 1.28% Slovenians

It is located between border with Hungary in the north-west, Baranja municipalities of Beli Manastir and Jagodnjak in the east and Slavonia region in the south-west.
