Peter de Lane

Peter de Lane was a fictional television director, created by Rob Brydon, and featured in the series Director's Commentary.

This series took the format of de Lane providing a commentary over episodes of programmes which he had directed - these being:

• Bonanza
• Only When I Laugh
• The Bounder
• Flambards
• Mr and Mrs

Through the commentaries we learn of de Lane's multiple failed marriages, troubled childhood, his Nazi father, and his periods of "dark, dark depression."
