Peter Winter
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Peter Winter is an Australian athlete. He won the silver medal in the men's decathlon at the 1994 Commonwealth Games. He finished with 8,074 points, the highest ever achieved by an Australian at the time. Currently 3rd all time.
He also competed in the decathlon in the Atlanta Olympic Games but during the long jump he made 3 fouls and didn't get a measurement of any jumps. This was a huge disappointment as his personal bests now totalled over 8600 points. Peter went into a training mode for a few years following this and never competed again.
