Peter Williams is an actor most commonly known for his role as the System Lord Apophis in the highly popular television series Stargate SG-1. Apophis was the primary nemesis in the show during the first four seasons, until the character's demise in the first episode of Season 5, Enemies.
Peter Williams has been featured in minor roles in several films, including Catwoman (2004) and The Chronicles of Riddick (2004). He has also appeared in the Vancouver-based TV shows The X-Files, Dead Like Me, and Da Vinci's Inquest.
In 1995, two years prior to Stargate SG-1's premiere, Williams starred in the 1995 movie Jungleground with three other actors from the Stargate franchise: Torri Higginson (Elizabeth Weir), JR Bourne (Martouf), and Lexa Doig (Dr. Lam).
