Peter Werbe is an American radio talk show host and political activist.

Peter Werbe has been a fixture in Detroit alternative media for the last four decades, hosting WRIF's weekly public affairs broadcast, "Nightcall."^[1]

Nightcall is live for two hours with two half-hour recorded interviews with various activists and academics in the second hour. Werbe has in the past featured celebrities and authors such as Cindy Sheehan, Frank Zappa, Richard Dreyfuss, Ed Asner, Walter Mosley, Mike Farrell, Howard Zinn and Al Franken. The interviews are also aired on WCSX and WMGC.

Werbe previously hosted a nationally syndicated program on the now-defunct i.e. America Radio Network, from October 2000 to June 2003. He occasionally filled in for former i.e. America colleague Mike Malloy on Air America Radio, before and immediately after Malloy was fired.

Peter Werbe describes himself as a libertarian socialist.^[2] He has been a staff member of Detroit's Fifth Estate magazine, which according to the Labadie Collection^{[citation needed]} is the longest running English language anarchist publication in the United States, almost since its inception.

Some Michigan newspapers^{[citation needed]} have characterized Werbe as "a talk ace who is quick, knowledgeable," "mellow," and that Werbe's "easy going style belies the dynamics of the issues being discussed."

Werbe was twice voted the "Best Radio Talk Host in Detroit" by Metro Times readers.^{[citation needed]}
