Peter Stafford

Peter G. Stafford (born 1941, Oakland, California) is an American writer and author of the Psychedelics Encyclopedia (ISBN 0-914171-51-8). Stafford is also co-author with Bonnie Golightly of LSD: The Problem-solving Psychedelic as well as the former editor of Crawdaddy! from 1969 to 1970. Stafford attended Reed College and the University of Washington.

At a time before the internet when information about illegal substances was hard to come by, Peter Stafford shon like a beacon of intelligent thought on the subject. He was also highly accurate in his work at a time when false stories were the order of the day.
