Peter Rob and Lana, is an electronic rock band based in Edina, Minnesota. Formed in 2002, there style of music can be described as electronic-rock-fusion, which heavily incorporates the use of computers into their music to simulate and generate synthesized effects. Extensive use of sampling can also be recognized throughout many of their songs. The band consists of guitarist Peter Frey, Drummer Robert (Rob) Crane, and Bassist Lana Bolin. There music is heavily influenced by the former indie-rock group Tiki Obmar and their shows consist of heavy improvising, or jamming, made popular by such rock groups as the Grateful Dead, Phish, and The Allman Brothers. Other musical influences include Autechre, Boards of Canada, Dredg. and A Series of Clicks and Beeps.

Peter Rob and Lana have released two albums, Highway 101, released September 2004, and Trace Your Logic, released August 2005. Rob Crane, the drummer, describes both albums as "electronic in style and feature synthesizers, drum machines, guitar, bass, laptop and real drums." Both Rob and Lana are currently living in Chicago, Illinois, while Peter still resides in Minnesota. Lana left the band in September 2005, but will be rejoining Peter and Rob in January 2006 to begin a new project. Rob and Peter are still making and performing electronic music and are currently not looking for a member to replace lana.

Peter will be joining Rob and Lana in Chicago in January 2006 to start a new project that "will be less electronic and have more lyrical tunes." Peter Frey, an Edina native, has been playing guitar for Eight years, Rob Crane, also an Edina native, has been playing the drums for nine years. While, Lana Bolin has been playing the bass for six years. They have played various gigs around the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro area, as well as other private parties in their hometown, Edina. In the summer of 2005, the three members played with a folk/rock band called the Medicinal Strings, but since have returned to their style of electronic music.
