Peter Railton is John Stephenson Perrin Professor of Philosophy at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His research interests center on contemporary metaethics and normative ethics, as well as consequentialism. He is the author of two books, Facts, Norms, and Values and Moral Discourse and Practice.
