Peter Price (politician)

Peter Nicholas Price Honorary MEP and member of the European Strategy Council.

Peter Price was born in 1946 and attended RGS Worcester and Adams Grammar School, Shropshire. He became a Conservative MEP in 1979 and served until 1994. However, he made headlines in 1997 when he became one of the first politicians to change parties from Conservative to Liberal Democrat. He continues to work with both the Liberal Democrat party in Wales and with the European Strategy Council in London.

Price trained as a solicitor in London which is still his main profession. In Parliament he is a Member of National Assembly Standing Orders Commission and part-time Chairman of the Employment Tribunal.
