Peter Overton (born 1966) is an Australian television journalist.

He joined the Nine Network as a reporter for National Nine News and is most prominent as a reporter for 60 Minutes. He is married to fellow Nine presenter Jessica Rowe. The couple welcomed daughter Allegra Penelope Overton on January 18, 2007.

Peter Overton in his youth attented Lane Cove Public School then North Sydney Boys High School in Sydney. Nicole Kidman is one of three of his childhood friends.
