Peter O'Malley

Peter O'Malley (born in 1937) was the President of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

He was the son of Walter Francis O'Malley and Katherine Elizabeth "Kay" Hanson (1907-1979). Peter had a sibling: Theresa O'Malley (1933- ). Peter took over the Presidency of the ball club from his father in 1970, and his father died in 1979. On March 19, 1998 Rupert Murdoch took over as President. Murdoch purchased the team for what was reported as $311 million. This was the highest price ever paid for a US sports franchise at the time.
