Peter Kuhlman

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Peter Kuhlman is a Danish headmaster, currently headmaster of Frederiksborg Gymnasium in Hillerød, Denmark. He worked in the Danish Ministry of Education before becoming headmaster.

Kuhlman is the head chairman of Gymnasieskolernes Rektorforening (the union of Danish headmasters of Gymnasiums) . He is known in Denmark for wanting more strict rules in class.

In May 2005 The Danish Secretary of Education Bertel Haarder made it clear that the young students that were about to start in the Gymnasiums had too many options and directions in the new school to chose from. Peter Kuhlman agreed and gave Haarder the green lights for taking away some of the options. A few examples of directions for the students to chose could be "the biology direction" or the music-theater direction" (these are just a very few in the big picture). The reason for Kuhlman to agree on taking away some of the directions was that the young students would just be confused about so much to chose from.
