Peter Frank Broadbent (born 15 May 1933 at Elvington, Kent) is a former English footballer.
Broadbent played for Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. from 1951 to 1965, making 497 appearances and scoring 145 goals. He won three league championships (1953/54, 1957/58, 1958/59) and one FA Cup (1960). He won seven caps and scored two goals for the England national football team from 1958 to 1960, including appearing in one match in the 1958 FIFA World Cup.He was one of the first players to suffer under the north south divide, where newspapers seem to support London players. Johny Haynes was always preferred to Peter even though his game was much more limited. In the opinion of George Best, Broadbent was a strong candidate for best player of all time.
