Peter Brandvold is an American western fiction author.
He has written over two dozen books set in the Old West and has been hailed by many as the "next Louis L'Amour". Born and raised in North Dakota, Brandvold attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, and came away with a B.A. in English. Brandvold wrote for several major old west Magazines such as Country Journal and True West, until in 1995, he chose to try writing western fiction. His first book was Once a Marshall, and it was praised for its fast-paced, action-packed style.
He's set to write a comic book with Sergio Aragones for DC Comics starring Bat lash, a western character. John Severin will be the penciler.
