Peter Brackley

Peter Brackley is a football commentator, perhaps most famous for covering Football Italia on Channel 4 in the 1990s. He began his career at BBC Radio; subsequently, in the 1982-83 season, he worked for Central Television. He is a supporter of Brighton and Hove Albion. He also provides the commentary for the Pro Evolution Soccer series of games. In the game, Trevor Brooking chips in with the occasional comment.

More recently he has been heard covering some of the World Cup games for ITV including Argentina v Mexico during June 2006. He was fourth choice in the pecking order for ITV. Brackley also commentated on the FA Community Shield match between Liverpool and Chelsea in August 2006. In recent years, he has been the lead commentator for international broadcasts of the FA Cup.

He has been catapulted to cult status due to his commentary of the Pro Evolution Soccer series of games, and many fans often quote him. Over the series his commentary has improved dramatically, with more phrases alike to those you would hear in a real football match.

Many people regard 'its a super jinking run' as his best line of commentary
