Peter Blake (actor)

Peter Blake (born 8 December 1951 in Selkirk, Scotland) is a British actor. He was trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. First professional appearance at the Edinburg Festival in Frank Dunlop's production of "A Winter's Tale" in 1966. Worked with Glasgow Citizens Company. He has appeared in many British TV series, including Minder, Bergerac, Agony and The New Statesman.
In 2005 he earned plaudits playing 'Sgt Bill Kent' in the long running detective television program Taggart, who appears to be involved in a suspicious death at an army training camp.
His best-known role was that of Kirk St Moritz in the original, British version of the sitcom Dear John which for a brief period made him a familiar face to television viewers.
