Peter Black (Australian politician)

Peter Black OAM is an Australian politician, elected as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly. He was educated at Sydney Boy's Technical High School and has received a Bachelor of Science. He was a teacher in Broken Hill before running for Parliament.
Black represented Murray-Darling from 1999 to 2007 for the Australian Labor Party.[1] He was accused of having a drinking problem by other parliamentarians, including his political opponents.[2] Black lost his seat at the New South Wales general election, 2007, after the amalgamation of the seat of Murray-Darling with the neighbouring seat of Parkes gave the expanded Murray-Darling seat an overall National Party majority.
