Peter Andreas Blix

Peter Andreas Blix was born in Frederiksvern (near Stavern) on November 4, 1831 - died in Vik in Sogn January 31, 1901 was a Norway architect and engineer.

Blix was educated at Polytechnikum Hannover and in Karlsruhe. His first work was in the Canal Works in Norway and designed his first structure, the customs house in Skien. He started his private architectural practice while working as the city engineer in Bergen and pioneered the so-called "Swiss style" in residences there.

Blix also designed a number of railroad stations and led several restoration projects.
