Peter-Frans Pauwels

Peter-Frans Pauwels (born 1965) is a Dutch entrepreneur.

In 1991, soon after he completed his studies in Business and Computer Science at the Universiteit van Amsterdam, he founded, with his former university mate Pieter Geelen, a company called Palmtop Software, which was later renamed to TomTom.

He is currently Chief Technical Officer of TomTom.

According to a report published in the June 2006 issue of the Dutch magazine Quote, Pauwels is the richest Dutch less than 41 years old, with a fortune of about 766 millions Euro. The second in the list, football player Dennis Bergkamp, with 58 millions Euro has less than one tenth of his money.
