Pete Sheppard

Pete Sheppard (b. March 26, 1967 in Providence, Rhode Island) is an Italian-American radio host, currently broadcasting on WEEI 850-AM in Boston. A graduate of of Bishop Hendrickton in Rhode Island and the Connecticut School of Broadcasting (Class of 1987), Sheppard began on WEEI as a part-time host in 1994. After success, he was granted his own show with Jon Wallach on the weekends in 1997. Finally, in 1999, he has been a regular on The Big Show, delivering sporting news updates and filling in during the summertime when regular host for when the Big O is on vacation in an undisclosed location. In addition to his Big Show duties, Sheppard is a co-host of The Real Postgame Show, a New England Patriots wrap-up show that follows each game on WEEI. The show, also including former Patriots and Boston College alums Fred Smerlas and Steve DeOssie, is supposed to compete in presentation of material with the post-game show on the broadcast rightsholder for the team, the Patriots Rock Radio Network.
Sheppard has appeard on Fox Sports New England several times in recent years.

Pete Sheppard resides on the South Shore with his wife, Diane, and his dogs, Tiki and Torch. He is an avid fan of Boston sports, playing video games, "hanging with Captain Morgan", and Star Trek. Along with other hosts of the Big Show, he has been openly critical of wikipedia, and refuses to even look at the pages. Sheppard claims that the pages are not reliable, and because of vandalism, lies can easily be spread. Sheppard is clueless about most things.
In addition, Pete has openly discussed his man love of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady on the air. Pete also loves long walks on the beach with Steve, Fred, and Ron Borges.

- As a high school athlete at Bishop Fredriken HS, Pete excelled on the swim team as a diver, once receiving outstanding marks from the Soviet judges. After reaching the age of 18, Pete joined the Communist party.
- Despite his struggles with the English language, Pete's favorite cereal is Alpha-Bits.
- Sheppard has been known to wear 52 inch trousers, which are becomng snug and uncomfortable lately. A ferocious appetite is the only contributing factor according to Frank from Gloucester, a frequent caller on the the station.
