Pete Schourek
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Peter Alan Schourek (born May 10, 1969 in Austin, Texas) is a former left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball who played from 1991-2001. He was the runnerup for the National League's Cy Young Award in 1995.
After his wonderful 1995 season and even pitching well for the Reds in the 1995 postseason, he was consistently plagued by various injuries in subsequent seasons. This limited his effectiveness and moved around to various teams until his retirement after the 2001 season.
