Pete Lesperance

Pete Lesperance is a songwriter/producer. He is the guitarist in the Canadian melodic rock band Harem Scarem. Lesperance was born October 13, 1968 in Scarborough, Ontario. Lesperance was a guitarist in the Oshawa metal band "Minotaur" before forming Harem Scarem with Blind Vengeance vocalist Harry Hess in 1988.

Lesperance's solo album, "Down In It", was released in 2004. Lesperance also technically brought Mike Turner (ex-Our Lady Peace member) back into the music scene, even though Turner was producing over at the Pocket. Together they put together the band Fair Ground.

Lesperance has been from the metal days in Minotaur, to the guitar-driven frenzy of Harem Scarem, to the lighter rock melodies of his solo efforts.

"Scars" has upbeat riffs. "Trouble With Pets" is a vintage instrumental.

Lesperance's own studio, "Hope Songs", is located in Toronto, Ontario. Lesperance is producing many different bands, including the rock band "One Short". He is currently finishing up albums for Canadian Idol contestants Aaron Walpole and Suzi Rawn.

His influences include Eddie Van Halen, Brian May, Nuno Bettencourt and Steve Vai. Lesperance is a Canadian guitar hero, and known all over the world as such.[citation needed]
