Pete Hickey is a famous mountain climber from Ottawa, Canada. Pete rose to prominence during the late 1990s when he experimented to test the theory that "in the winter, a beard keeps you warmer" To do this, Pete shaved off half of his beard.
Many tuned in to listen to Pete on International BBC radio in England talking about his experiments. (He has never been on BBC)
The majority of Pete's fans are from England. Pete has been the subject of various college reports and presentations.
Pete also has a fan club on MySpace which has very few members due to it being new and is yet to be discovered.
He has also written a few songs, one being the humorous "Spam" song
