Pete Briquette

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pete Briquette is the stage name of Patrick Andrew Cusack, born on 2 July 1954, Ballyjamesduff, Co Cavan, Ireland.

He was the bassist for the band The Boomtown Rats. His is the first cousin of John Moylett a.k.a. Johnny Fingers, the keyboardist in the band.

He now works as a music producer and is the only Rats member that still frequently collaborates with ex-lead vocalist Bob Geldof.

[edit] Trivia

His pseudonym refers to the fact that he hails from the Irish countryside; peat briquettes are a type of refined turf burned in fires instead of coal there.
