There were a total of 3,806 students enrolled in the Petal School District during the 2005-2006 school year. The gender makeup of the district was 49% female and 51% male. The racial makeup of the district was 12% African American, 86% White, 1% Hispanic, 1% Asian, and less than 1% Native American.[1]
