[edit] Plot
Following the accidental death of his mother, Jeff Matthews (Edward Furlong) moves with his father Chase Matthews (Anthony Edwards) to the small town of Ludlow, Maine. No one lives in Ludlow for long without hearing about the tragedy of the Creed family and the dark mythology of the cursed First Nations burial ground which lies beyond the local pet cemetery. After his friend's dog is killed by an abusive stepfather (in a wickedly humorous turn by Clancy Brown), Jeff witnesses the power of the "Micmac burial ground" first-hand when he and his friend bring the pet back to life. Longing for his dead mother, Jeff returns to the burial ground to reanimate her corpse, with horrific results.
