[edit] Hero
You are my new hero, for your summarizing of the massive content on furry fandom. I think I am fast becoming an enemy of some fans that think that verifiability via published sources shouldn't apply to furries. Thank you for restoring in my mind the possibility of people that know a topic personally not being the worst editors of it ever. LovelyLotusduck 04:44, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
- Hey Perri, i only saw your stuff on the furry page today and it's really sad that you are leaving. you are 100% correct in everything you say.--172.141.17.228 13:20, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

- Thanks, Iām working over at Wikifur now, whenever I have the time, that is. Perri Rhoades 01:02, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] ok
I think I've tried to argue that my edits were agreeable with you. Please see furry fandom's talk page. DyslexicEditor 23:08, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] "Vandalism"
My edits were not vandalism. Stating facts and backing them up with sources (Wikifur, of all places) is not vandalism. I also noticed that you tried to erase the entry which I linked to. Nice try, but unfortunately you cannot whitewash the furry fandom. I suggest you stop reverting every single edit that could possible be intrepreted negatively on the furry fandom article. 68.69.194.125 04:39, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- I suggest that being a furry hater and a Wikipedia vandal is not a valid course in life. You should apply yourself to something more useful post haste. Life is too short to be wasted hating a bunch of harmless cartoon fans. Perri Rhoades 09:32, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Unsubstantiated notions in Furry fandom
I actually agree that what I said is unsubstantiated. But would you please read what it was that I replaced? Surely you cannot still say that I "vadalized" (sic) the article. I didn't want to just eliminate text without suggesting some kind of replacement. ---Bersl2 19:38, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- What you're trying to get at with what you added came completely out of left field to me. If you like, please explain it in detail here. If I can see some reason in it I'll try to help work it into the article. But please don't come out with bold statements like "furry fans differ from common comic book fans" Or whatever it was you said. With the article under such intense vandalism anything that extreme is automatically going to be assumed an attack. Perri Rhoades 19:58, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

- If you wanted to bomb that entire part of the intro, it's fine by me. I simply saw a statement that I knew was wrong ("furries sexualize anthropomorphic animals") and tried to replace it with something that was less wrong and certainly more dignified ("furries actualize anthropomorphic animals"). But both are gone now (probably for the better); consider the matter resolved. ---Bersl2 20:30, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

- As a general rule, furries don't do either, at least not any more than anime fans or other types of comic book fans. Comics have always been sexy. That's why they created the Comics Code.

- Actually, I didn't notice that you had replaced "furries sexualize anthropomorphic animals." Like I said, the vandalism has been intense, and it is difficult to keep track of these things. I thought it best to revert the paragraph since I could make no sense out of what you wrote, and it wasn't necessary to address that in the intro. That's what we have the "Sex and the Fandom" section for.

- My apologies if you feel I acted hastily, but if you'll observe the amount of vandalism on the history page you'll see we have good reason to be suspicious and quick to revert. Perri Rhoades 20:53, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Furry Fandom stuff
Heya. I'm sorry to see you go, you were a valued contributor to the furry fandom article, at least I felt so. I can understand that working here, especially at kinda controversial articles, can be quite tiring, but discussing with people you don't agree with is a big part of being a Wikipedian. Just take a break if it gets too annoying. However, I reverted your last edits to the furry fandom talk page, reinserting the comments you deleted. People already replied to you, so it would be very confusing when part of a discussion is suddenly missing. I hope you can understand that. :) --Conti|ā 14:57, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the kind words, but my comments on the FF Talk page are withdrawn. Most of them were written under the stress of dealing with a troll that the rest of the editors decided to knuckle under to. The stress of dealing with this idiotic situation, while trying to maintain the integrity of a serious article, caused me to write a boatload of irrational things, which I have decided to withdraw. Please at least have the courtesy to allow me to withdraw my comments. I know of few other sites on the net that do not allow for this courtesy. Perri Rhoades 21:28, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

- I'm afraid that this is not allowed here on Wikipedia, readability of past discussions is quite important. I won't undo your last edit, but I'm quite sure someone will soon. If it's just that you think that you wrote stuff you don't agree with/you think was irrational, maybe stating this on the talk page might help. Actually, User:Dajagr did just that, I think this greatly helps the page to become calmer again. --Conti|ā 00:16, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Glad to see you back.
You said you quit but now I see you back. It is good. You are a good editor. DyslexicEditor 06:40, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, I just came back for a visit. Perri Rhoades 01:46, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
