Talk:Persian cuisine
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Any passers by...please let me know what you think this page needs, or make the necessary additions. I am getting ready to do a pretty big edit here and I want to have suggestions on how to structure the article before I go into it.

- Hmm.. Well, I do have a question for you. The common practice is to categorize articles by country, for instance, Cuisine of Ethiopia, Cuisine of Mexico, Cuisine of Argentina, etc. If this article's scope does not include substantial non-Iranian Persian cuisine, for example, American Chinese cuisine, then I see no reason why it should not be moved to Cuisine of Iran.
- Aside from that, as I have no knowledge of the subject, I can only make a few generic suggestions: 1. more pictures, caption for the picture, and tag the pic's copyright status or find one that is known, 2. provide sections with helpful headings, not all one section, 3. give more references, especially print ones if possible, and include a "see also" section for links to related Wikipedia articles 4. link more of the text, it looks rather bare, and 5. explain what encompasses the term "Persian" and also talk about any peculiarities to their particular brand of cuisine (i.e., unique cooking implement, style, ingredient, etc.); it is important to explain what distinguishes it. Also, some brief historical info would be great context. I wish you luck! --Dmcdevit 04:11, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Healthy?
Is Persian/Iranian foods healthy? Delisious, yes it is, but healthy I doubt it. With lots of fat, oil and carb. Could someone exapnd on this? I also think we need a section on regular diet and regional foods in Iran. Mahanchian 20:55, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
