Talk:Perpetual Motion Theatre Company

[edit] Contest of Speedy Deletion

This article is part of a series of article I am attempting to write on professional theatre companies that currently work in the Twin Cities. Considering the sheer number of relatively unknown authors, bands and writers that already have entries on Wikipedia, I find it hard to believe that this one can be dismissed so readily.

Actually, we work on getting rid of the unknown authors, bands and writers too, when they can't meet standards of Notability. Fan-1967 04:06, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Instead of links to sites belonging to the company, what we need are independent third-party sources that can verify content and notability. Fan-1967 04:12, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
What is acceptible, then? Newspaper articles about the group? Published reviews of their work?Oddred1 13:44, 28 December 2006 (UTC) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Oddred1 (talkcontribs) 13:43, 28 December 2006 (UTC).
Absolutely. That is exactly the kind of source we look for. Fan-1967 14:41, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
OK, I have edited the heck out of my original entry. This was one of the first Wikipedia articles I have ever written, and I realize now that it kind of sounded like an advertisement for the company. I have removed excessive wordiness, removed the Geocities links (except for link to the theatre company's official website), and added links to relevant newspaper articles and reviews that I could find. Does this now pass muster? Oddred1 15:28, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

If this were a band it would already be deleted. Static Universe 23:27, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
