How are Metals Different from Non-Metals? Metals are more malleable and ductile where nonmetals are brittle. Metals are also conductive and nonmetals insulators.

If only an atom or two at a time of a synthetic element has been made, can you really conclusively say that you know it to be a solid at RT?
