Peruvemba is a small village panchayat, under Palakkad Taluk in PALGHAT district of kerala. It sorrounded by Olassery and Kodumbu panchayats. Other nearby well known places are Kodumbu, Kollengode ,Chitoor and Tathamangalam and Pudunagaram.

Peruvemba Vela is celebrated this year April 6-8, 2007. One the last sunday of the March every year the Vela Organising commitee winds up the activities related to invitiation and donation solicitation and starts the arrangements for the celebrations. The cultural performance troupes from most forms of folk arts of kerala are invited to perform at the Mannath Shiva kshetram frontyard. this courtyard is where all the Peruvemba Residents of all classes from agathe thara, kizhake thara, padinjare thara and gramam, gather once in every year as a thanks giving to Lord Shiva and celebrate for three full day.

The Peruvemba is well known for its Ootukulangara Bhagavathi kshethram. The most important festival of this little village is the Chaandu abhishegam to the Devi, celebrated in the last week of December every year. This is the only day when everyone is allowed to freely enter the inner portals of the temple and reach very near the goddess.the temple as its own Aal maram and temple pond. The dewaswom building is now newly built alongside the kalyana mandapam. This temple is very near the Shiva kshetram and Ganapathy temple of the Gramam
