The UWA Perth International Arts Festival is a cultural festival held in Western Australia. The festival was created in 1953 by the University of Western Australia, making it the oldest international arts festival in Australia. Activities include theatre, dance, music, film, visual arts and literature, occurring right across the state.[2]

Lotterywest has financially supported the festival since 1992. In 2004 it committed to providing up to $16 million dollars over 4 years (2004-2007).[3]
